Freedom has never come FREE !

On September 11, 2001 many lives were changed and this section of our website is dedicated to the men and women who have devoted their lives to protecting our country from any such repeat of that very day. My name is Louis Grasse and I am the owner, operator and creator of H2o Cycles here in Jacksonville, Florida. I originally hail from NY / NJ and have been in Florida, surrounded by water, since 1990. (Hint: H2o Cycles, get it?) My entire family is from the north and most of them still live in Staten Island, NJ and NY.

My uncle, John Santore, a dedicated father, community worker, husband and NYC firefighter gave his life on 9-11! He was 1 of the 343 firefighters that lost their lives during that tragic event that changed our nation forever. Ladder Company # 5 out of Greenwich Village was one of the first to the scene that day at the World Trade Center complex, and as you can see from the world famous photo of their truck below, upon collapse, there was no way out. Bravery is not learned or expressed, it is chosen. Selflessness and heroic actions came into play that day and every day since then with our brothers and sisters in the Armed Forces. I was never much for taking orders or even following directions closely so I never pursued enlisting in the military to do my part, but, it was not for lack of want. I lost several of my friends that day who worked and/or lived in the Manhattan area, and a my family lost a great man. Although I choose not to fight overseas for our freedom, I do fight hard here on US soil to protect my family, my rights, and my choices on a daily basis. This is a right I am privileged to have because of those that risk their lives daily for our freedom. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all. I thank you for your efforts against terrorism, your patriotism and for the honor that your daily job bestows upon my late uncle and other members of my circle.
